For all Australian Extreme & Australian Junior players please follow the link to access the Training Diary for 2006. The diary can be emailed or faxed back into the ICA office fortnightly.

26 April

The next Level 2 Coaching Course will be held at Liverpool Sportsworld (NSW) from Thursday 22nd - Saturday 24th June 2006. All accredited Level 1 Coaches are invited to attend.

The cost of the course is $250 which covers lectures fees, manuals, equipment hire and registration with National Coaching Council. Please find attached the course flyer and registration form. For more information please contact the ICA office on (07) 32360014.

Indoor Cricket Coaching Courses:
The following coaching courses are coming up around the states:

  • Level 1 Umpiring Course (Perth) - Saturday 8th April
  • Holiday Clinics (Perth) - Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th April
  • Talent ID Clinics (Perth) - Monday 24th, Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th April

The Australian Electric Junior Training Camp and the High Performance Coordinators Camp has been moved from 7th-10th July to the 1st - 4th September to coincide with the second Australian Extreme Training Camp prior to the Extreme Teams departure to New Zealand for the Trans Tasman Test Series.

ICA will be conducting the next Level 2 Coaching Course from 29th August - 1st September 2005. This course will be conducted in Brisbane, all attendees must have gained their Level 1 Coaching Certificate to be eligble to attend. A registration form for the course will be posted shortly. For more information on the course please contact the ICA Office.

High Performance Coordinators Workshop
The annual HP Workshop was conducted in Brisbane on Thursday 17th – Friday 18th February. The Australian Extreme & Junior Coaches, ICA Executive, NED and HPM attended to plan for the 2005/06 seasons. Key outcomes from the Workshop included:

- Australian Indoor Cricket Academy
- State/Territory High Performance Development Officers
- Selection Policy for 2005/06
- Training/Competition dates for 2005/06
- HPC Training Kits
- HPC Training Camp for 2005

HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM OVERVIEW
 

The aim of the High Performance Program is:

  • To provide Australian players with the best coaching, facilities and support available to enable them the greatest opportunity to develop their talents and fulfill their potential
  • To develop a pool of players capable of competing at the highest level of international competition and capable of achieving World Cup success in 2007
  • To engender a culture within the indoor cricket community that appreciates and understands and supports the importance of the success of our 2 national teams
  • Provide a national coaching infrastructure which delivers worlds best indoor cricket coaching practices,  through the High Performance program
  • Develop and sustain a national talent ID pool that is capable of providing players ready to step up to the highest levels
  • Develop and sustain a national junior talent ID pool, through Junior Superleague and Secondary Schools Competitions, that is capable of providing players for State and National level competitions
  • Ensure the communication network is functioning effectively throughout the coaching, administrative structure and service providers
  • To establish a specialist support network to service the high performance program
